I recently did a mini session for my husband, who was looking for some new photos for profile pictures and the like. Since we didn’t have any of him in uniform since his graduation, I thought it would be fun to go military for this one. These were taken in various spots around our small yard, which actually makes me happy that I could find nice spots so close to home!

This past Friday, we were lucky enough to have snagged a spot in a home business show targeted at women, held in the nearby town of Lincoln, New Brunswick. We only got our spot through sheer luck, in that someone canceled and I was online when the organizer announced the space, and the original person didn’t take their fee back, so it was applied to my space.
It wasn’t perfect, but it was a new show, and still worth the time to participate. I’m not happy that my new business cards and prints didn’t make it in time, but I had what I needed, and had a great time chatting with some of the other vendors and attendees. I also held a draw for a free portrait session, which I’ll be announcing the winner of tomorrow.
I took a few photos while I was there, there were so many beautiful displays and products, I just couldn’t help myself. You can see more by visiting my Facebook page here.

As a portrait photographer, my favorite subjects are babies and children. No two are alike, and they are so much fun to capture. As a mom, I’m lucky enough to get the opportunity to photograph them frequently. My youngest son was born just before Christmas, and I recently took the chance to get a few photos of him while he was still tiny, memories that are so important to remember as they grow and develop. I thought I’d share a few of my favorites here for you to enjoy as well.
TiKi Photography now offers a range of Fine Art photographic prints and posters through RedBubble, an online artist merchant. The selection is growing, and more images are added regularly. Images are available as photographic prints, canvas prints, posters, and cards, and matting and framing is also available.
On that note, I’m always looking for new ideas for fine art photographs to take, so if you have something you’re looking for, please let me know!
Back in the fall, I had the pleasure of shooting a friend of mine, Sam. She wanted some fashion portraits, as she loves to play with clothing and accessories. I happily obliged, and we spent the better part of a day hunting down interesting locations in our little town to take some photos.
I had a blast! She had some great ideas, and combined with a few choice items from my own wardrobe, put together some really nice, fun outfits! I also got to try out a few techniques I’d been meaning to practice up until then, so I learned a bunch, too!
We’re hoping to do some more once the weather warms up here, since we just moved into spring here and it’s still pretty nippy at times. So hopefully in the next few months I’ll have more to show you all!
In getting back into the swing of things here on the blog, I thought I’d start by showing a few photos from a shoot I did back in the fall. Lorrie is all about fun, funky clothing, and wanted this one to feature some new dresses she had recently purchased. Lolita is a style that comes out of Japan, with many sub-genres.
We got to explore parts of Fredericton I’ve never been to, which was awesome - back alleys, rooftops, and little shopping nooks.
I have to say, I was quite jealous of her clothing selections for the shoot - the were definitely fun, cute, and totally unique - and I would love to have the confidence to wear that type of clothing!
Enjoy the photos!
P.S. If you notice weird typing errors or anything, please bear with me, I’m suffering with a half-functional computer at the moment and as hard as I try, I sometimes miss when the letter doesn’t show up. I’m also working on trying to better format posts, so don’t be alarmed if they look a little funky for awhile.
